Urban Wastewater Treatment
The western world, including Australia, has long since adopted sophisticated municipal wastewater treatment. Wastewater treatment is a series of known steps using known variations of available technologies. However, existing wastewater treatment plants are exhibiting two major problems:
In many instances, existing sewage treatment systems are unable to meet these two challenges because of, for example, a lack of available treatment area (in the form of lagoons), or they require the addition of reactors and other processes which call for expensive civil works and space which may not be available in the existing plant location.
Because of this, SV has been looking to its partners to initiate processes and services to aid the cost-effective upgrade of existing water and sewage treatment plants in a manner that directly attempts to answer these two problems. SV’s is tackling the problems in a unique and innovative way:
The processes involved offer simple, cost-effective solutions for both of these problems, and allows municipal plants to both increase their treatment capacity and upgrade the effluent quality with minimal civil works and little or no added treatment volume. The processes are flexible and can be applied in a number of main plant configurations according to existing conditions and plant requirements.
SV now feels it has the partnerships and abilities to meet your municipal wastewater treatment needs with the following benefits:
-
Minimal or no additional reactor volume required
-
Minimal change to plant operations
-
Minimal interference during the upgrade
-
Staged implementation
-
Withstanding of Toxic or Shock loads of industrial wastewater
